USA Women's National Volleyball Team

some here might also be volleyball fans, specially of Team USA, FIVB World Grand Prix is underway. 16 teams are competing, so it's a good tournament to prepare and help the team in reaching its goal for Olympic qualification.

sorry czechchick7, i don't have any info for you regarding Courtney Thompson. i'm not familiar with her/her game. i don't remember her name being on the NT roster before but then again my memory sucks! and i haven't been much updated myself with this team...hard to keep tabs...

Just to clarify, I was just joking about the "what took you so long..."

Hope you had a good vacation despite not having internet access.

Jennifer Tamas is the captain.

Try the link USA vs. Japan, on the right side and at the bottom, there is a bunch of other games including USA vs. Italy, try that and see if that might work.

Czechchick7, you were right. Courtney Thompson was on the US roster last year for 2 tournaments - Montreux and I forgot the the name of the other one (pardon my lousy memory)

Stayed up really late to watch USA-Brazil final. What can I say, just like with the Storm, #15 is awesome! So proud of the way Logan played in this game. She's truly one of the best all-around players there is...

It was an exciting game between the Americans and the Germans today.

Although I'm not too familiar with Courtney Thompson and Tamari Miyashiro and haven't seen them play before other than some minutes in USWNT's scrimmages, they did well in the limited minutes they were given. Miyashiro had some nice digs and had also served pretty well in a tightly contested set.

Also, I really liked what I have seen so far from Christa Harmotto. I'll be very surprised if she will not be included in the US Olympic roster because, imho, she's going to be a very important cog in the team's pursuit for that elusive Olympic gold. Knocking on wood and crossing my fingers so as not to jinx her or the rest of the team...
