a little late with this, but a great game for the Storm!

saw on the transactions wire the next day:

June 25, 2016

Team      Player      Transaction

Connecticut      Alleyne, Jillian      Traded to Sun from Mercury as part of deal for Kelsey Bone

Phoenix      Bone, Kelsey      Traded to Mercury from Sun in exchange for Courtney Williams, draft rights to Jillian Alleyne, and a 2017 2nd round pick (via San Antonio)

Seattle      Dietrick, Blake      Waived
Seattle      Gatling, Markeisha      Waved
Seattle      Quinn, Noelle      Traded to Storm from Mercury in exchange for rights to Angel Robinson

Phoenix      Robinson, Angel      Traded to Mercury from Storm in exchange for Noelle Quinn

Connecticut      Williams, Courtney      Traded to Sun from Mercury as part of deal for Kelsey Bone

lots of trades for Connecticut, and us! We got Noe back!!  Smiley

Wish Gatling and Dietrick success wherever they end up.

We re signed Krystal Thomas to replace Gatling. Good move. Thomas works hard and is a solid defender. Something that Gatling just doesnt do

I think we missed the chance of getting Bone instead of the Mercury. I would of given our first round pick and maybe even KML for her. Solid starting center

Interesting that Bone was traded away for a couple of borderline players and a draft pick that might not make the league, if past trends hold.  That's really not much.

Bone's the one who claimed she was left out of USAB national/Olympic team consideration because she transferred from S. Carolina, where asst. coach Dawn Staley coaches.  When in truth, she was left out because she's not that good.

When she played in the under-20 age groups, there were fewer really good players to choose from.  After she turned 21, she had to compete against a lot more veterans who are better than her.  So she wasn't left out because of Staley, but because there's more players better than her at her position.

So far this year, Bone hasn't done much.  While she might be better than Thomas, who I'm glad we picked up, I'm not sure she would've been worth getting rid of a #3 pick in KML.  Even though KML hasn't done much either, she still was a #3.  That's a little high to trade for a player like Bone.

Bone has won MIP and was an allstar last season. She averaged 15,4 pts something that KML will never do in this league..
Have you forgotten that Kelsey Bone was the number 5 pick in one of the better drafts (3 franchise players). Players that went before her were Griner, EDD, Diggins (and Hill).
